Fantastic $30 Map-Making Software Bundle Is a Online Gaming GM's Dream

After a brief run back in April, the Map Making Mega Bundle is back with an encore available through early December. Described as an extensive collection of mapping tools created by a specialized software company over the years, the complete package is valued at over $1,300. And there are three different bundles offered in this deal.

Primary Feature

The big draw is certainly permanent access to the CC3+ software, an industry-standard mapping application which enables users to create everything from fantasy overworld maps, smaller regional maps, city maps, and, perhaps most importantly, tactical combat environments.

Entry Level

The most affordable option, at a minimum cost of $1, includes only four from the thirty-nine available products: Fantasy Overland Symbol Collection, Token Treasury: Monsters 1, Source Maps: Castles!, Urban Source Maps. This one's only for existing CC3+ users, but it does offer new fantasy symbol styles for overworld maps, more than 750 monster tokens for use in virtual tabletops, more than two dozen aerial castle designs including hundreds of map markers, eight fully mapped cities, plus seventy-plus building interiors.

Mid-Range Option

The eight-product collection for at least $15 offers enhanced value by adding in permanent CC3+ access, Cartographer's Annual Vol 1, Ultimate Mapping Guidebook, and Symbol Set 6: Isometric Cities. Cartographer's Annual is the annual collection from the company's ongoing subscription program which includes a variety CC3+ add-ons including map packs and various other tools. The Isometric Cities enables present urban areas in 3D perspective using angled views from multiple angles. And the Tome of Ultimate Mapping comprises 760 pages suitable for novices and experts, packed with guidance and instructions for the map-making process.

All 17 volumes from the Annual series come with this bundle, alongside a slew of additional tools and content enabling creators to craft complete solar systems, or just go all-in on traditional fantasy world-building: combat arenas, dungeons, urban centers, and continents in multiple viewpoints. Users can also create character illustrations. At thirty versus fifteen dollars, the complete collection is so worth it, particularly for mappers with temporary CC3+ access and want to upgrade to lifetime. But it's obviously more advantageous for map-making newbies considering you even get introductory guides to help you get started. The one caveat here though the purchase is available across platforms, the applications only function on Windows.

Charitable Component

Similar to previous bundles, a portion of each sale supports charitable organizations. For this one, the beneficiary is Save the Children, an organization founded by Eglantyne Jebb in 1919 dedicated to enhancing children's welfare globally via educational programs, medical services, and crisis response.
